About Us

Fifteen years of home-made food

Nurme Bistro opened its doors on 4 January 2001 to offer refreshment to the employees of Nurme Factory. The number of visitors grew fast and soon the bistro established itself among the catering facilities of Haapsalu as a place offering home-made dishes. Also, family occasions began to be celebrated at the bistro.

Despite its foreign-sounding name the bistro offers simple home-made as well as national dishes, also snacks, nutritious sandwiches, cakes, pies and rolls. Every day the menu includes a salad, a few different soups and roasts as well as simple desserts. Bread and buns come with different spreads.
We take great pleasure in a contented and happy client. We consider tasty dishes, fast and friendly service very important.

Easy to come, easy to be
This is our motto. We’re located in the heart of Haapsalu and are therefore easily accessible on foot, by car and in a wheelchair. We offer WiFi services to those who wish to keep up to date with the world’s events. In addition, you can read newspapers and browse magazines.

As Rändurite klubi (the Travellers Club) gathers at the bistro at 7 p.m. on the last Friday of every month (except June – September), it’s possible to take a look at a variety of travel magazines as well.

The smallest guests can enjoy a cosy play corner where they can play and draw. There’s a changing table for babies in the toilet.

The bistro is open from Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 3 p.m, at other times according to bookings.

It is possible to order catering for family occasions and funerals. The dining hall holds 40 guests. All foods offered in the bistro can be bought to take away.
